Year-round Opportunities

Groups will be housed at Ridge or Rock in a basic cabin for $25 a night (no meals). For more comfortable accommodations and/or meals, groups may stay in one of our hotel-style spaces at our regular rates. The LDR coordinator will manage work sites and logistics. If a group would like additional “camp style programming or activities,” we can accommodate that for a modest fee to help cover the cost of our staff and resources. We will continue to share more information as it becomes available.

What Camp Provides:

1. An on-site Area Director to guide your group through the week and one additional staff member for every 20 participants
2. Meals from Sunday dinner through Friday lunch
3. Lodging at either Lutheridge or Lutherock in cabins or retreat centers
4. Disaster relief projects Monday-Wednesday including all tools and supplies, in partnership with Lutheran Disaster Response
5. All transportation to and from airports and disaster sites

What You Provide:

1. Supervision. All youth supervision is the responsibility of the adult leaders of the group. We require at least an 8:1 ratio of youth to adults.
2. Oversight for the distribution of medication and health care needs for all participants.

Typical Schedule

Sunday- Arrive at camp. Team building activities and learning about the impact of the hurricane in this area

Monday- Wednesday- Working at sites in the area, coordinated by LDR. Evenings spent at camp with campfires and other activities

Thursday- Fun/Adventure day. Fill your day by choosing from options onsite and in the nearby mountains. Thursday adventure options may include: Rafting, Tubing, Mountain biking, Challenge Tower, Ropes Course, Hiking (Some of these activities will have extra costs associated.)

Friday- Closing and depart

Each day includes nightly reflection and devotion time led by our staff or by adult leaders.
